Sanctuary Care was established in 1995 to provide older people with high-quality nursing and residential care. Since then, the organisation has gone from strength to strength and is now a leading provider of care homes.
As part of a not-for-profit organisation, we are financially strong and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional value for money; reinvesting surplus back into the business. This enables us to maintain our standards of care year after year through a continued investment plan for our care homes.
At Sanctuary Care we appreciate everyone is different so our focus is on creating care and support packages that are tailored to each and every one of our residents – ensuring we deliver the highest standards of care.
Dignity in care
Our teams ensure that our residents are treated as individuals with dignity and respect.
Many of the residents’ rooms have their own coloured front door with a room number and knocker. Everyone in the staff team knocks on the front door before entering – promoting dignity and respect for our residents as well as a sense of safety and security.
Throughout our homes our teams are there to offer care and support 24/7. Always at the forefront of their minds is promoting the independence that many residents can be concerned about losing when they move into a care home. Whether it’s a reassuring chat, being able to help organise activities, folding tea towels or helping to wash up cups after a comforting cup of tea, our residents are supported to remain as independent as possible whilst playing an active role within the care home.
