Rising Stars Programme

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED TO 31st MARCH 2017

This exciting new programme for emerging leaders within the Not for Profit Sector is still in development. However, there are a number of core commitments for both the Rising Star and their organisational sponsor.

Criteria for nominations

The new NCF strategy incorporates a strong focus on leadership.
In line with this commitment, we are launching at the annual conference a new Rising Stars programme. 

This programme will provide an opportunity for those shining lights in your organisation to join the annual conference and hear first-hand about key policy developments, best practice innovations and challenges facing the strategic thinkers within the sector.

If you think you have a potential star on your hand, then please consider nominating them for a FREE place at the Annual Conference on the 15th and 16th May 2017 and a chance to join the Rising Stars programme. 
The attendance at the conference will mark the beginning of a year-long programme of support and engagement between NCF, our members, our partners and the Rising Stars. 

Criteria for nomination:
  • Rising Star needs to have taken up a Registered Manager post within your organisation in the last year. 
  • You need to be attending the conference as a full member
  • You need to be willing to provide some mentoring support for the Rising Star programme (Offering phone or face to face support to a Rising Star approx. four times within the year)
  • Rising Star colleagues need to be enabled to take part in relevant activities during the year (For more details see below)
  • Maximum one nomination per member 
Rising Stars Package All activities are FREE of charge to successful candidates:
  • Attendance and accommodation at the NCF Annual Conference on the 15th and 16th May 2017
  • Assessment of skills base and development plan Benchmarked assessment to be carried out at the beginning and end of the programme. 
  • Specialist workshops, webinars and briefings at different points within the programme.
  • Mentoring support from an NCF member outside of their own organisation

There are 10 free places at the conference, provided by our sponsor Carterwood
These places need to be applied for by the 31st March 2017. 
Both nominating member and nominee will need to include information on the attached application form.
The decision of NCF about accepted nominations is final.
