CMM's new 3rd Sector Care Awards celebrate and showcase the innovation and care excellence of the not-for-profit care sector, and reward examples of outstanding achievement and performance
The first 3rd Sector Care Awards event organised by CMM, open only to the not-for-profit care sector, was held on 3 December in London when more than 200 finalists, guests and board members of supporting organisations including the NCF gathered to celebrate the best of care and support services with an innovative and inspiring awards event. Esther Rantzen was the celebrity host for the occasion and did a brilliant job in relaxing the award winners as she interviewed them on stage.
The unique categories included: compassion; innovative quality outcomes; creative arts; community engagement; citizenship; leadership; collaboration/integration; sector development; board member/trustee.
It was great to see such a wide range of different not-for-profit care organisations represented at the awards and NCF members represented amongst the finalists. Congratulations to Neil Matthewman, CEO of Community Integrated Care and NCF board member who won the leadership award and Bev Aldridge, operations director at Coverage Care Services who won the board member of the year.
One of the high spots of the awards lunch was a performance by Certitude Community Choir who received a standing ovation for their contemporary set that included a rendition of Perfect Day. Look out for the announcement about the 3rd Sector Care Awards 2015.
