Ordinary residence, extraordinary mess – new report from VODG

28 May 2013

The VODG has long campaigned for a change to the Ordinary Residence rules in order to ensure that disabled people and providers are not continually caught between disputing authorities, which causes unnecessary anxiety to individuals and wastes public funds.

On Thursday they published their third report on this issue - Ordinary residence, extraordinary mess which explores some of the problems and suggests solutions.

The VODG believes the Care Bill, is a rare opportunity to resolve the chaos caused by ordinary residence disputes.
