Quality First review 2013 - member involvement is growing

30 May 2013

The NCF Quality First review 2013 is now available to members in our Quality First review section.

We are pleased to report that interest and involvement in NCF Quality First is continuing to build and that several more NCF members are in the process of completing their Quality First review.

NCF Quality First is a quality mark featured on the recently launched Department of Health information portal. NCF members may now attach the Quality First flag to their Provider Quality Profile (PQP) as a way of demonstrating their commitment to quality.

NCF is currently considering, with the UK Accreditation Service, further development of the Quality First framework and possible formal accreditation.

The NCF Quality Assurance Forum will meet in July to consider all comments from participating members. The Forum will review the elements at this time to ensure that the framework continues to be relevant and reflects best practice. We aim to update the framework and recording tools with a view to carrying out a further review for benchmarking purposes in 2014.
The NCF Quality Assurance Forum meets at quarterly intervals.
