On 16 February, Rose Cottage care home in Broughton near Huntingdon joined national care charity Greensleeves Care
to become the charity’s 22nd care home and the first care home in Cambridgeshire.
Greensleeves Care provides award-winning care to 850 residents at its 22 care homes, mainly located in the South East, Midlands and East of England. At the beginning of February, Greensleeves Care was named the No. 1 Care Charity in England by Which? magazine based on its high ratings from care regulator the Care Quality Commission.
Rose Cottage is an attractive 38-bed, purpose-built, care home located in the picturesque village of Broughton near Huntingdon. The home provides excellent residential and respite care, while supporting residents to organise and manage their own lifestyles.
As a highly innovative provider of care for older people, Greensleeves Care has successfully introduced the Eden Alternative approach to care in many of its care homes and will be extending these principles at Rose Cottage. The Eden philosophy seeks to improve the quality of life for residents and provides a framework to transform traditional approaches to care into the creation of communities where older people grow and thrive.
