Developing nurse leaders in social care

11 April 2018

Take part in Skills for Care’s new registered nurse professional leadership development programme starting in June 2018.

This unique opportunity, supported by the Burdett Trust, is aimed at nurse leaders who want to make a difference and promote positive caring cultures in their organisation. It’s been specifically tailored to meet the needs of senior registered nurses working in adult social care and is grounded in the professional practice standards outlined in the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct.

The programme will enable participants to develop their leadership approach in situations such as:
  • working across professional, organisational and system boundaries
  • developing and implementing new practice and service redesign projects
  • using high-level negotiating and influencing skills
  • taking the lead in contexts that are unfamiliar, complex and unpredictable.
The five day programme starts on Thursday 28 June 2018 and runs until December 2018 in London. Places are available at a heavily subsidised cost of £750.
