Devonshire Court in Leicester has received an overall rating
of 'Outstanding' following a recent inspection of the care home by The Care
The Home, which provides residential care and dementia
support for up to 69 residents, was found to be offering an 'Outstanding'
caring, responsive and well-led service to its residents and was rated 'Good'
in two further categories. CQC also praised the excellent end of life care
According to the report, published by CQC on 26 September
2018, people at the Home enjoy life with their social and physical needs
extremely well met by a dedicated staff team that is kind, caring and

The inspection, found the registered manager and her team to
be providing excellent leadership to staff, ensuring good staffing levels to
meet the needs of residents, and pursuing a long term vision for the Home with
Juliet O'Connor, Home Manager at Devonshire Court, said:
"We are thrilled at receiving our 'Outstanding' rating from CQC, following
hard work during the past year to raise standards of care at the Home and to
provide the best support possible for our residents."

In June 2018, the Home opened a new boutique care centre at
its premises, offering support for up to 10 people in individual themed rooms
with a luxurious feel. Devonshire Court has also been running a residents'
dreams project for the past year, which aims to make residents' dreams – large
or small – come true and has seen residents re-visit former childhood places,
meet elephants and attend a Tom Jones concert, amongst many others.
